Hormone Replacement Therapy and Anavar

Anavar 101:
How to use Anavar while on HRT

Anavar (generic name: oxandrolone) is an extremely popular androgenic sports supplement. It’s very well-tolerated by both men and women, and Anavar is also noted for having very low side effects when administered at medically appropriate doses.

What does Anavar do?

Different supplements do different things inside the body; for example Deca Durabolin (nandrolone) has therapeutic and muscle-building qualities; whereas, testosterone aids in everything from enhancing mood and mental clarity, to aiding in lean muscle gains, to better sleep.

Anavar is known for some specific and exciting benefits, making it one of the most popular supplements for athletes seeking to shed body fat – particularly stomach fat – at accelerated rates.

Affinity patients and staff have experienced dramatic reduction in belly fat, while actually retaining or gaining lean muscle mass, when using Anavar in conjunction with their HRT programs.

Medical Benefits of Anavar

Anavar functions as a therapeutic agent with numerous benefits, including:

  • Helping with healthy weight gain in post-surgery patients
  • Increasing bone density in aging patients
  • Hepatitis treatment
  • Promoting growth in children who are deficient in certain key hormones

Benefits to wellness and fitness programs

Anavar is probably best known for its fat-burning properties, while allowing the patient to retain or increase lean muscle mass. Patients on Anavar report they “lean out,” and experience greater results from workouts. Lean, permanent muscle gains and fantastic muscle pumps are commonly observed in our patients.

Female patients are also able to add lean muscle in a dramatic fashion while on Anavar, without any commonly reported side effects. Athletes of all stripes report increases in strength, endurance and recovery while on this oral supplement.

How to Use Anavar

This tablet is taken once daily orally, and in our clinic it’s prescribed in situations where there is reason to believe Anavar would be a beneficial addition to a patient’s medically supervised HRT program.

Women generally supplement with Anavar for 6 to 8 weeks, while men typically do a 10 week program incorporation.

Anavar does not convert into estrogen, as testosterone does if not properly monitored and counter-balanced with estrogen blockers.

There is no special treatment needed following the use of Anavar for an appropriate length.

Generally, there are no negative side effects when properly incorporating Anavar into a HRT program; however a small percentage of patients have experienced mild heartburn and trouble sleeping – if they consume their tablet later in the day.

Patients with liver or cholesterol issues should discuss their conditions with their doctor, to see if Anavar is an appropriate supplement in their situation.

Another powerful benefit users should be aware of is the muscle pumps occurring from Anavar. They can be intense, allowing for shorter, more effective workouts. Patients have reported a need for reduced sets of exercises, speedier workouts, and quicker recovery.

Affinity often pairs Anavar with injectable vitamins, to counteract these intense pumps. Our vitamins carry choline – a liver cleanser, and also contain anti-cramping agents which help negate muscle pumps that are too intense (if there is such a thing!).

Benefits to hormone replacement therapy patients

Patients undergoing hormone optimization find Anavar to be an incredible catalyst for jump starting either a new program; or, re-energizing a program that’s been a bit neglected.

Interested patients and site visitors are encouraged to speak with a Patient Advocate about whether incorporating Anavar in your program is right for you.
